Festive Baby Cakes

Tonight my best friend and her husband are coming over for our Christmas dinner, so I thought I would use my new Christmas present from the most wonderful mom in the world to make festive desserts!

I decided to make mini snowman cupcakes and since it is only going to be four of us, I thought my new BabyCakes cupcake maker would be perfect!

It is pretty much a waffle iron for mini cupcakes, pies, etc.!

My awesome mom went ahead and got the baking mix for me! (One less step)

I mixed 1 egg, 1/2 cup milk, 1/4 cup oil and the cupcake mix together with a wire wisk until batter formed.

After I lined the BabyCakes maker with paper cups, I scooped the batter filling each cup about 3/4 full. I have always used an icecream scoop because it is perfect for pouring batter!

This was after 3 minutes of baking!

The total baking time was 5 minutes!! So much better than an oven! I inserted a toothpick in the center of the cupcakes to make sure they were done.

The toothpick was clean! Time to cool..

Don't mind my ribbon tree, I have a hard time taking down my Christmas decorations!

While waiting on the cupcakes to cool enough to ice them, I decided to make toppers. I have had snowman scrapbook paper forever and have never been able to incorporate it into my scrapbook, so I decided to finally use it! I grabbed my tape, scissors, toothpicks, and paper.

I picked out my favorite snowmen and cut them out.

After cutting them all the way out, I taped a toothpick to the backside of them.

Snowmen are my favorite!

I had some red and green m&ms that I sprinkled on after I iced the cupcakes and added the toppers!
Voila! Festive Baby Cakes!

Can't wait to eat them tonight!
